I am just beginning a project that is going to use two light gates in order to determine whether a car is in a car wash or not, if a second enters while one is in there an alarm system will be set off using a pic axe chip, this pic axe chip also controls the traffic lights for this project. Can anyone give me a circuit diagram or explain a way for me to use the pic axe chip in this way?

If you can draw a diagram showing the locations of the sensors and a flow chart that charts to way the light and sensors work, you may solve the problem yourself. We need that to see if your ideas are reasonable.
