Light Dependant ElectroChromic Windows

Hello;

I am looking to create a light sensitive circuit using Electrochromic film.

For those that don't know, the film has two states; One translucent and the other transparent when a voltage is applied.

I am hoping to create a setup similar to the windows seen in the iron man films: See: 'http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-5yV3tYfcw'.

Is it possible to create a circuit that would vary the number of translucent and transparent panels according to the exterior light conditions?

First thoughts I would use an LDR and some sort of controller, perhaps an Arduino board?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Sure. You'll need to define more precisely what you want to do. I don't think you'll need a microcontroller if all you want is "dimming", but I guess that depends on the details of what you want.

Does a panel only exist in 2 states, on or off, clear or transparent? If so, you just need LDR-controlled switches.
