Hello,

To have ten white leds burning you must have a powersupply.
What voltage does your powersupply have?
What type of white leds are you going to use (datasheet)?

Have you read this?

LEDs, 555s, Flashers, and Light Chasers

LEDs vary in voltage, even within the same family. Figure white LEDs are a max of 3.8V Vf each, that means you would needs 38V at least to power them, and more voltage would actually be necessary.

You would be better to have 5 in series with 2 legs, with would still work to a minimum power supply voltage of 19V.

The article I pointed to explain this and more.
