I want to use an optocoupler instead of the phototransistor. What do you advice me to use for this?

I would think you would be able to switch the P.C. for an opto directly?

Or if you have better alternative please share it here. I need a circuit to turn the lights on for LED lamp if it is dark. The LED is a small one. (I don't want to light the whole home.) The power source will also be a small one about 5v will be good.
