I am looking for a distance measuring device that can measure the distance from a moving object (it is not possible to install a receiving/sending unit outside the moving device). I found a lot of laser-based measurement devices but none of them allows to feed the measurements in "real time" into a PC, e.g. over a USB port.
Does such devices exist (preferable not too expensive)?
Accuracy is not that important - it should be in the range of centimeters. The distance that has to be measured is between 20 to 400cm, all outdoors.
