I have to design a 8-4 bit priority encoder. I have to use karnaugh maps to solve the problem. I can do simple maps where you have 4 inputs, but this encoder has 8 inputs. Im not sure how to go about setting up the map. I can do the rest of the work myself but I need help on how to start.

 

You're going to have fun! There will be many K-maps. A 5-bit map requires 2 4-bit maps, one for the true and one for the false.
