Hi all,

I am in need of designing an override for my RFID ignition; so if I misplace my chip while on the road, I can manually override the RFID module with key strokes (from my turn signal switch).

My idea is this: Use a "PIN" to activate the RFID latch board I made. The PIN could be input using the strokes of my turn signal switch. It has both LEFT and RIGHT movement, so I would think you could program this? IE: L - L - R - L , and the latch board is powered on as if the RFID chip was just clocked. My alarm has a manual override JUST like this so I know it can be done; however, I'm searching places and getting nowhere since I'm not in tune with the electronics lingo.

NOTE: I'm not in search of someone to "design" this or tell me how to connect everything, I'd like to learn that on my own. I'm simply looking for some help with keywords so when I search digikey and Educydepia, I can know what I'm searching for!

Thanks! And let me know if my intent isn't clear enough.
