hi all

i am doing flyback converter(30-90 Vdc) thesis in tow sems, i am required to do the simulation of this topic using any software( multisim,ltc spise, Pspise...etc) in first sem and do the prototyping and building the circuit in PCB board in the sec sem..so my question is..is the calculation of secondary and primary winding, gapping the core, core selection and bobbin area necessarily for the circuit to be simulated or not..???

thanx dear bertus for ur help..but actually am asking if calculating the inductance of the primary and secondary of transformer is enough to simulate my circuit and get my desired output since i am not going to pcb it ????
