After reading through the TOS. I was wondering if a project making my own power supply and led lamp (transformer isolated) that plugged into the main is against the policy. I don't want to make waves.

If the powersupply has a transformer, then there is no problem.
A mains powersupply brings down the voltage AND isolates it from the mains using the transformer.
