Hello, I am fairly new to the scripting game but I would like to see if anyone could give me a helping hand for this small script, that I would like to put together.

I would like to write a script that reloads a page automatically and continuously until the page reloads into the desired webpage. Basically, the page I am reloading is to gain access to the desired page but there is a high demand to get onto that page that the MAX capacity page loads. I hate pressing refresh for an hour just to get onto this webpage and would like to just make a script to reload until I get on.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to begin?

There are freeware Windows utilities that can do this. I think one was called "Jackhammer".

 

I'd explore using an Ajax HTTPrequest.
