My wife and I bought some land a couple months ago. Now we are locked in deadly mortal combat (figuratively speaking) with the Washington County Planning Authority.

Who would have thought one might need a stamped drawing from a geophysical engineer just to get a permit to grade for a driveway? (The good news is we're on the second most stable soil one can possibly be on.)

The really good news is this: my wife consented to our staying in a duplex in town while waiting instead of in the sardine-can-on-wheels. I've got my BOOKS BACK from storage!! :D:D:D:D

And once I unbury them from themselves, I'll have my TOOLS again!

I won't be posting very regularly, but I will be able to check in a lot more often than I have been.

A modern story of the great north west part of United states.
The old homesteaders of the past did not have all the paper work,If
any.I hope thingmaker has time to keep a journal of a modern
woodsman. If you live In the woods, how do you keep from getting
trapped by fire.We must have some members with first or second
homes in the woods.
