Americans are not allowed to go to Cuba.
Visitors to Cuba are Europeans, South Americans and Canadians. I did not notice any Asians (Chinese, Japanese and Indians) there.

The Doctors TV show said that 1/3rd of all Americans are obese.
A lot of Canadians are also obese but not as many as 1/3rd.

Wow... With that super reference thrown out I'll take care of the "other" one:

Obesity in Canada is a growing health concern with health officials stating that it is one of the leading causes of preventable deaths in Canada. According to Forbes, Canada ranks 35 on a 2007 list of fattest countries with a percentage of 61.1% of its citizens with an unhealthy weight.

yes, 1 in 3 Americans are obese. 1 in 6 Canadians are obese. Much better odds of not being obese by virtue of being Canadian compared to being American, but considering Americans aren't allowed to go to Cuba, I would posit that Cubans have a higher disdain for obese Canadians than obese Americans.

People who eat only rice are very skinny.
I am not obese and eat rice sometimes, but not all the time.
Oh yeah, people who eat raw rotting fish (sushi) are also skinny.

Many old fishing boats do not have refrigerators. So whatever they catch rots for the couple of weeeks that they are away at sea.
Fresh or quickly frozen fish do not have much stink. Rotten fish smell bad.
