i am designing a bldc driver, using ir2110, and sometimes during operation the low side turns on and stays on.....does anybody has ever faced similar problems?

also flyback diodes, which one should i use?

 

Usually it the Hi side that presents problems.
Make sure that the LIN drops low enough and is not floating somewhere between the logic input levels.
You should also place 1N4148 gate diodes across R1 R2 as per the Tahmid's site, http://tahmidmc.blogspot.ca/2013/01/using-high-low-side-driver-ir2110-with.html

so the problem is that pin one and pin 3 (vcc and LO) get shorted during operation, i am using 10 ohms at gate resistance and the switching frequency is 2 khz..

 

Are you sure it gets shorted or just that pin 1 goes to 12v?

Assuming your using a micro controller? Is it possible that there is a problem in your program? Is the same thing happening on all three phases? Often people blame the other components when it is a program fault.
