i have a very old model of GRUNDIG TV , MY IR remote is not working

I found that the remote got a IR transmitter ic M3006LAB1
i have attached the datasheet of the ic below

i like to know is there any alternate IC for this.
I am trying to make a IR remote for this on my own

 

I recommend first looking at the output of the remote through a digital camera or a smartphone, to see if perhaps it is working. The receiver at the TV could be the problem.

Assuming the more likely result that your remote truly is dead, I'd recommend trying universal remotes. You can buy them for $5USD or less and they are amazingly versatile.

Another possibility is a programmable remote that can mimc your old remote. I'm thinking of the Harmony remotes, which are backed by a huge database of remotes. These are not cheap, though.
