I see that one channel IR device can control a car toy's movements, back and forward.
I guess it just swaps electro motor's poles.

If the IR channel is a digital stream of data, you can control whatever your heart desires!

I forgot to mention the analog IR device

 

By analog do you mean either on or off (which is really digital)? It that case "on" could be backward and "off" could be forward.
