I am very new to microcontroller so I need some information so that I can start learning.
1.Which book and which microcontroller you prefer most to start?
2.Is learning microcontroller will be beneficial?

Are you also new to electronics? Some people want to learn both at the same time, and it is possible if you keep at it.

I very much liked the "What's a Microcontroller?" package from the Parallax people. They make the Basic Stamp, a very easy to program device. It's a good learning tool plus they have lots of other kits just for beginners.

Otherwise Microchip sells some development boards along with a programmer, and some lessons too. Microchip parts (PICs) are real microcontrollers (the Stamp uses one) and are used by professionals.

Do you have a budget? Where in the world are you, can you get mail shipments?
