Introduction to All About Circuits Community
Hello to the All About Circuits Community . This is my first post.

My name is Ian ORRELL and am a retired Mechanical Engineering Associate/Technical Teacher and a Vietnam Veteran.

My interests are many. Since I retired in 2002, I don't know how I ever found time to go to work. Has anyone found days with 48 hours ?

I've knocked on Heaven's Door a couple of times and life is too short.

At the moment I am collecting parts for a 10 - 12.5 kW Induction Furnace.

General Information.

1. Incoming Mains Supply 415V 3 phase 59 Hz. 16 mmSq.

2. I have collected some 1000V 75A IGBTs

40 A 3 Phase Bridge Rectifier,
High Current Diodes
High Current SCRs

Refrigeration components for the cooling of the heat sunk electronics and Induction Working Coil and many more smaller components.

3. A foundary friend of mine runs a new commercial 125kW [Cast Iron] and 75 kW [Non Ferrous] Induction Furnace for a Technical College. The operating frequencies vary between 2.5 -3.5 kHz.

Has any one out there built any thing like this, as I would like to contact them ?

Thankyou

Kind Regards

Welcome to AAC.

The skills you are talking about may be in short supply, but then again, there may be some one around who can help.

Mars has a 48 hour day. Does that help? :D

The name of your thread is very important to getting the kind of help you want. I'm going to modify it a bit so people will notice your problem, no one can read every thread posted here, though some try.
