Hello all,

(Sorry in advance if I'm posting in the wrong place)

I am looking to build a MIDI controller using an old NES case and an Arduino MC. I am using 16 arcade button switches and two rotary potentiometers. I have modified the casing and mounted all the necessary parts, but I am a COMPLETE noob when it comes to the wiring. Help me? Also, I had an interesting idea of maybe wiring the controller ports to the analog inputs of the arduino chip in order to use some of the NES external hardware. Would this be possible? I have found a pinout but I'm not yet versed with this sort of thing so I don't know what to make of it. I have been following a a circuit diagram from a similar project but I need help modifying it.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

No problem!

Now, if you want help, ask for it, not, "Hey, I'm going to make X and I want someone to tell me exactly what to do."

That isn't how we roll, you put in some effort and we will put in some effort.

Now, how about stating what you are having trouble on, resources so someone can become versed in the old tech you are trying to interface to, what you actually hope to accomplish, and ideas you have so far. List your experience level.

but I am a COMPLETE noob when it comes to the wiring
what is that supposed to mean? You can't connect point A to point B with the wires? Or does it mean you have absolutely no idea what you are doing? If so, how do you know you have the correct parts? Are you just copying someone else's idea? Again, put in some effort and we just might also...
