I think it is too bad because it includes the Arduino 101. I have two and I like them. On board BLE, core lib includes peripheral and central BLE functionality, simple Arduino user interface (or Intel System Studio). Not sure what is out there to replace that at near the same price.

 

Intel is bailing on the small embedded market (again). Their hardware is good but the support that people expect from the traditional uC makers is missing.
