While rummaging through my junkbox for a NiCd/NiMh charger ic, I discovered I had one! However it turns out that I don't have the datasheet for it, and searching the usual places on the web (including all the sites in the sticky/FAQ on this forum) turns up nothing.
The part is a DIP8 named U2401B. The manufacturer label is FTK (Telefunken - now Temic) and I *did* go to the precaution of writing "NiCd charger" on the base of it's bubble-pack.
I've found datasheets for the U2400b and U2402b among others - they're all part of the same family, but all have too many pins. There seems to be a gap in the universe where the U2401b datasheet fell through.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ... anyone ever used one of these?
