Hello

I'm trying to find datasheet for this type of inductor (3 terminals) but I can't find much.

I know the image says a slightly different reference, but the one in the thread tittle is the one I have.
I need to find a datasheet and eventually KiCad symbols.
Also wanted to know how it works because the 2 visible terminals in this image seems to be shorted and I'm not sure it is supposed to be like that or if the inductor is somehow damaged or how are the connections internaly.

thanks
psy

Observe !!! the winding to confirm it is or not an unlikely 3 terminal inductor. It will appear as short-circuit as its thick conductor has very low resistance.

Measuring resistance between the two visible terminals in the above image I get around 0.5Ω but there is one other terminal in the back of the inductor and that one is connected to the board GND but I don't know where is it connected in the inductor.

Doesn't these types of inductors have a datasheet?

The third terminal is not connected to the coil. Did you probe continuity for it ? No. Did you observe !!! closely ? No. Datasheets are for a known brand. Do you know the brand of the inductor to look for their products datasheet ? No.
You will never find information of a Ford product looking at a Chevrolet catalog.

FYI, yes. Actually I said it in the OP. Did you read it??? Apparently no.

Did you observe !!! closely ? No.
FYI, yes, but I still don't have x-ray vision to be able to see the connections inside something that is not transparent.

I'm sorry to say this this way, but am I the stupid one here? I'm not sure but I guess no.
Can you see the brand on the inductor? Can you see something that I can't?
If you can see, you must have special vision powers. If you don't see the brand, why would I see it?

After your post, what was exactly the help you gave? Zero...
Maybe you could have spared some of your time by even didn't reply!

With out knowing its size and inductance.............I really can't help.

The measures of the inductor I have in this pcb are 14.5mm x 7.7mm[/QUOTE]
