    Hi all,

I'm looking for a symbole for a proximity sensor. Can't find any when I do a google search.

I'd also like to find out how I can create my own photo album on this. I'd like to upload a pic of a symbol for an optical proximity sensor to give you an idea of what I'm looking for.

    Thanks in advance.

needs to look more like the one attached I think.

Is this a symbol for wiring diagram of an industrial system? Proximity sensors look differently in board-level schematics.

The symbol for the optical proximity sensor is a LED and receiver photodiode/phototransistor. They can be drawn together if they are packaged together (e.g. Osram SFH9201), or they can be drawn as separate discrete components with a text note saying that they are parts of one proximity sensor.

The symbol for the inductive proximity sensor is the inductor (probably with a note). The rest is inferred (hopefully) from the signal conditioning circuitry around the sensing inductor.

See attachment for typical proximity sensor symbol.
