You can run a 3 phase motor with a single phase supply if you connect two of its terminals between neutral and live and put a capacitor between the third motor terminal and live wire.
However, this reduces the output power of the motor and draws more current from the grid.
Note that it is illegal to wire large three phase motors like that.
