Can you please have a look at Q3 part (iii) in the attached file.
When asked to calculate the current, do i use Phasor solution or Eulers notation. I have used both methods but got different answers!

Phasor solution:
Impedance Z = (R^2 + XL^2 + Xc^2)^0.5
So: I = V/Z = 150/116.45 = 1.29A

Eulers notation:
Z = 25 + j94.25 - j63.66 = 25 + j30.59
So: I = 150/(25 + j30.59) = (3750 - j4588.5)/1560.75 = 3.80A

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got 3.7974 amps at 50.73 degrees current lagging.

Looks like same as you.

This is wrong:
Impedance Z = (R^2 + XL^2 + Xc^2)^0.5

try THIS:
Impedance Z = (R^2 + (XL- Xc)^2)^0.5

and do it again! ;)

Gotta run...
