Hi All

Can anyone point me int he right direction how to go about impedance matching on a smith chart?

I am trying to use an l match circuit.
i am using 30 + j20 @1Ghz
so firstly i normalise the values at 50 ohms
so 30/50 = 0.6 and 20/50 = 0.4
so now i plot 0.6 + 0.4J on the smith chart.
(what circles do i read from to plot the 0.6 which is the impedance and the 0.4j which is the admitance.)

how do i normalise this circuit? what formula do i need to use?
Anyone any ideas.
all help greatly appriciated.
regards
steve
