Hi,

I'm using an IGBT to discharge current out of a capacitor bank of 4mF for a capacitor-driven coil gun. I've never designed a drive circuit for a IGBT or MOSFET, and I was wondering if any of you knew of a good tutorial for, or demonstration of, that design process. I've already settled on a 1200V, 240A IGBT, so if anyone who has ideas, I'd really appreciate input!

jezach, electronic weaponry such as coilguns are not allowed to be discussed on this forum due to safety and liability concerns. I don't recommend building such devices unless you are entirely familiar with their operation. They can be very dangerous and should not be attempted by people who don't know what they're doing.
