Hello,

It can be different things, like a data filter / converter, a progamming device.
There are two connectors.
What are the connector types?
It contains a PIC16C54 o/p.
This is a programmable chip that can perform different tasks.
The task performed is dependend on the program in the PIC.
The problem is that you probably do not know what is programmed.

The second DIP chip is a buffer amplifier. The top-down view is nice for reading component labels, but impossible for seeing any depth to anything. It would be nice to be able to see what those connectors look like. Are they USB?
