Please excuse me if this seems like a dumb question, but can the PicKit 2 be used to program the PIC32.
Addidtionally, how many pins does the PIC32 require for ICSP?

In-circuit programming typically uses the ICD interface.
That has a six pin connector including ground and VCC or VDD.
Three or four signal pins on the MCU are used.
