I remember years ago when I would troubleshoot 6502 CPU boards, we had a test clip that would snap on to the CPU.

Normally you would have it pre hooked up to a logic analyzer probe but you could also use it for o'scope test points etc.

Do those clips still exist? If so where can they be had?

I am not talking about the individual test clips. These are the ones that are the size of the IC itself.

 

I guess I should search first.

But not exactly the way I remember. Those top pins look too wide. The ones I was thinking of, you could slide on one of those single socket headers.
