I wouldn't be asking for help but I already did it wrong once and now have to pay a bunch for an electrician so now I just want to be sure that my plan is doable. I have a three pronged plug from the wall going to a light switch then from the light switch to the 12 v power supply and a 110 v lamp.

Why not use the switch on the ATX power supply?

 

There is no switch on my power supply. I could have rigged everything up to a surge protector I think but I thought a switch would be more elegant
