i want use LED MR16 Dimmable lamps to replace the MR16 Halogen dimmable lamps, but i don't know whether i should change anything of the circuit?
Who can help me?
Use this thread to ask your question, this thread belongs to you alone. I'm referring you to the other thread as a reference.
The other poster had a lot of Q&A sessions, he wasn't too happy with some of the answers.
The short answer is it is unlikely you will be able to get satisfactory results using the built in dimmer. I could be wrong, but LEDs are not light bulbs. The way they light up when current is varied is very nonlinear. There is a technique called PWM that will vary a LED linearly, but it is totally different than the way typical dimmers work.
I would assume the manufacturer matched everything else though, so the LED version should be a drop in replacement.
Best advice is try it and see, if it doesn't work, then we'll be glad to work with you to make it right.
