I know why it's "Palm Sunday".

But where did they get "Good Friday" and "Easter"?

Should it not be "Crucifixion day" and "Resurrection Sunday"? Where do you get a word like "Easter"? And what was good about THAT friday?

You can look up the word Deity, learn, but live and let live.

de⋅i⋅ty /ˈdi
ɪ
ti/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [dee-i-tee] Show IPA
–noun, plural -ties. 1.a god or goddess.2.divine character or nature, esp. that of the Supreme Being; divinity.3.the estate or rank of a god: The king attained deity after his death. 4.a person or thing revered as a god or goddess: a society in which money is the only deity. 5.the Deity, God; Supreme Being.

Ok, so how does that answer my question?

Let's just get back to the original topic:

Ok, that helped.

I also read once that "Good Friday" started out (perhaps) as "God Friday" or "God's Friday"...

I remembered that when reading one of your links.

Do you know the "formula" for Easter? I picked it up while watching a James Burke series "The Day the Universe Changed".

Easter falls on the first sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox.
