I recorded this about 20 years ago...still think it's a cool little ditty

Nice! Did you do it all in one sitting or over time?
Oh, and I want to thank you for this thread. Hours of entertainment.:)
Did it in three tracks. Laid down the bass line first, then the rhythm (right channel), and then the lead. This was a first take....it kept getting worse as I tried to "improve" it, so I let it stand. LOL

Only acoustic instruments, or is it an electrical bass?
The bass is my beloved Fender fretless jazz bass, shown on the cover. (It's actually my co-writer Cynthia Mountainflower playing the bass on the cover, which was created just a couple of years ago for a different project). She's done some amazing lyrics.

I'm having a 40 year old neck on a guitar heat treated and clamped. Hopefully the instrument repair guy can fix it.
