I'm converting a treadmill motor to run my lathe it worked great on the bench, but after mounting it to the lathe it just trips the breaker as soon as i plug it in. I don't see anything burnt on my mc-60. after alot of research i'm at a loss. my board has a component that i don't see on any other boards and wondered if it was my issue any input of somewhere to start testing would be greatly appreciated.IMG_20160118_211806.jpg IMG_20160119_120951.jpg IMG_20160119_120951.jpg IMG_20160116_133818938.jpg IMG_20160116_182731601.jpg

Thanks Max Q3 is shorting out. I'm assuming you test from the 2 outside terminals. I'm also assuming that since that one is shorting it's the culprit. Is there a way to bypass that or do I need to replace it?

You have no choice but to replace it, it is best to test out of circuit, you should be able to get a replacement easily from DigiKey etc.
You could power up out of circuit and check there is no other shorts.
Max.

Thanks, I looked at alot of threads on here and looked at a few hand drawn schematics but really didn't know what I was looking at... Lol. The one you linked was a bit closer to my level, I'm ordering that from digikey
