I want one that will operate with same spec's in the circuit but only at a higher output current.

Please help, Thank You,

Welcome to AAC!
Depending on your circuit you may find a P-MOSFET suitable. Many types can handle very large currents.

B772 is described as the output transistor used in 3W audio amplifier. The typical Ic(DC)=-3A and Ic(pulsed)=-7A.

In that casing (TO-126) it is very hard to find one that exceeds 4A. But there are plenty that use TO-220 type casing.

Attached is the datasheet of the transistor and the link below is the equilvalent (by computer) from Element14 with Ic(DC) > 3A. You can try digikey for the same engine if you're from US.

Hello,

When you show us the schematic where the 2SB is used, we will be able to offer better advice.

some people just don't realize that even if they replace a component to the very same manufacturer, model, patch, and production line - they may have to readjust the circuit for it to operate in a fist place or operate as it should . . . this is hopless

extract from the very NEC datasheet:
CLASSIFICATION OF hFE
Rank R Q P E
Range 60 to 120 100 to 200 160 to 320 200 to 400
+ another thing that is crucial for switching applications is the VCE [image] -- this is why people here suggested using the MOSFET (but it likely requires modifying the circuit . . .)
