First off...This is not funny, so don't laugh.

I was just replying to a thread and saw an ant running across my screen.

I just pressed it.

And guess what, it is still running around
Again I tried and still, this little bugger is running around.
I dare not press any harder, I might crack my panel.

Believe it or not, it is running between my 28" panel and it's diffuser.

How the hell did it get in ?

Before I can reach my movie it went to and disappeared at the sides.
Am still waiting for it come back.

Now I have to take the whole thing apart.

If they got in they will ruin the monitor. I bet there is a colony inside now.

Freakin' Ants. Why me ????

Try ant bait (poison). There is some that doesn't kill instantly, instead they take it with them as far as I remember. This kills the whole colony.

I didn't laugh btw. :D

Something similar happened to me when I was trying to scan a photo. Tried it twice, but there was always a black dot on the picture. Finally figured it out when the dot moved on the third try...

Lure him out w/ Mountain Dew ant kryptonite :D

OR just leave him be i don't think ants eat flux like roaches do.

Friend of mine did upholstery and as a sort of resume he would take pics of his work w/ a old 35mm camera.

He developed his most recent pics of a Chaise lounge and one just one pic was what looked like a giant roach chillaxing on his lounge all legs up.

It's framed and hanging up in his shop to this day.

Nothing you can do once a ant is in there but wait for it to live out its lifespan, or try to set a trap lure it out.

you can put something "sweet" in a shallow bowl fairly close and if it gets out and lands on it.

Probably because only you can make this sound so amusing, even after telling people not to laugh :D

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I've had this sort of thing happen to me once, but it was quite a while ago. I can't remember what computer I had at the time, but I know it wasn't a Mac.

I can top that: on my Kawasaki KZ750, a tiny spider somehow got into a sealed speedometer and built a web right around 50 mph..... firt time I had to ride to work, it caught the speedo needle and held it right at 50 for about TWO YEARS...... whatever that web stuff is, it sure is durable....

The stupid thing finally started working again.

When I worked at Qume, we had an assembly facility in Pueto Rico, land of the unkillable cockroach. They eveolved a strain of roaches that lived on the "instapak" foam we injected into the boxes as shipping filler. The boxes would arrive at the customer and when they opened the box, about a hundred million roaches would come running out all over their feet.

Boy did we hear about that.....

I'm guessing it must inside already. You just had an illusion that you pressed it from outside the screen!
Btw you're the saver for them. With land rates hiking you provided them big warm place to live:D
Ohh was that me no I didn't laugh:D
