Very quick question:
In the hybrid parameter model for BJTs, does HIC mean the resistance between the base and collector in a common collector amplifier?

It is the input impedance of the transistor. And by virtue of:

\(r_{in}\)\(\approx\)\(\beta\)\(R_{E}\)

It corresponds to the emitter resistance.
