So I just want to say I don't know much but I thought it would be fun to build a pocket amplifier. I think it needs a High pass filter to cut out some troublesome bass frequencies. Attached is a diagram (I don't know allot of symbols so I just labeled my components) of my circuit.

What I need to know is where to put my HPF and what components will work with it... Any help is greatly appreciated :)

A standard op amp can not provide enough output current to drive a speaker.

Why you concerned about bass frequencies?

My goal was to create a small travel Amp. for my electric guitar. It sounds great... untill you strum it. Single notes come through clearly but especially the bass strings just buzz. Is is possible to work in a second op amp then?
