I have a problem that I'm sure there must be a simple solution. I am using a voltage tripler which generates about 500VDC from the AC line. The problem I have is one side of the incoming AC line is now the ground. How do I interface a 12vdc SMPS to the high voltage supply? The power supply has the black ground wire tied to the green chassis ground. Would it be easier to use a linear power supply?
