I have an old Schumacher 12v / 6v. 6/2 amp car battery charger.
How can I test it's output if I don't have a battery to hook it up to?

Without starting your car, Turn on you cars headlights for 10 minutes, then hook it up. Check if lights get brighter when you make the connection.

Remember to connect the charger first then plug it in so you don't blow it up in your face. been there done that.
