I think only if your RC device gives PWM as output then it can be interfaced directly to servos. Using other kinds of Bus to interface to servo will not work.

No need to pull RESET to 5V. It is by default done on Arduino board I think. I can't confirm because you have not given details about the aux port of your RC device.
