Hi
Have a 12v battery and a 18V motor and want the motor to run at 18
I know they use capacitors to up the voltage or putting 2 resistors in parallel
And I know they use ohms law to work it out
But I dont understand ohms law so is they any chance please someone could tell me the value of resistor or capacitor I need

You cannot to this with resistors and capacitors in a DC circuit.
You need to use a boost converter or a charge pump.

 

You need a buck boost ic like this
