how to generate PPM signal?

hi..
i am trying to generate the PPM signal by using c8051 micro controller....having a crystal frequency of 22.4 MHZ ..i wrote the C code..but i got output with 1 micro sec pulse width...but i need with 0.5 micro sec
In the code i used the IRS(interrupt service routine) also to increase the delay...

help me ....
