most current smart phones have 4 contacts in the battery.
1 is + , 1 is for + and 2 middle contacts are for current and temp monitoring.
The phone is working ONLY when all 4 contacts of battery are connected with 4 contacts from the phone.
I am using AA batteries to power the phone (however, I can give only only + and - contact). How can I fake or fool around these middle 2 contacts so that the phone is still working without connecting these 2 middle contacts?
I tried to ground these 2 middle contacts of the phone, and connect only + and -, but it did not work.
The problem does not happen when I use my old cell phone with 3 contacts (the middle contacted is disconnected, but the phone is still working).
Thank you all
Kenny
