Does anybody know of a simple method to estimate the times for erase, flash, and verify of a microcontroller using information on the chip's datasheet?

For instance I am wanting to estimate the EFV time for a production setting of a Freescale MPC5634M microcontroller. I'm assuming writing of the complete 1.5M of the flash memory using a Freescale or Cyclone Pro programmer.

There is some information in the datasheet about flash times, but I can not seem to figure out how to use it to come up with a complete time for EFV.

 

Did you check with Freescale's technical support? They'd be the ultimate authority on their products.

I checked with a Freescale rep and did get a rough estimate of 15 sec, but this did not seem like a long enough time for the full EPV. When I asked how to calculate that, all I got back was a snipet from the datasheet. I will have to ask again.

I guess what I was hoping to find out was a way to calculate it so that I can do it easy enough on my own when quoting future projects.
