How to convert High voltage Dc to AC?

you can use thyristor to invert DC.
as we know thyristor works as switch. thus by using this property of thyristor you can easily invert DC to AC. the circuit diagram for this can be found from a number of sites. further you can use the same thyristor for rectification.
Can't say that I've seen an SCR used in an inverter circuit in ages - and for good reason.

I cant find a circuit for this. Could someone please tell me where I can find one?

Perhaps in an old 1960s volume of Popular Science or the ARRL handbook. More a proof of theory than a marketable product, the on resistance of SCRs was lower and power handling better than the few power germanium transistors out at the time.
