how to connect oscilloscope to diac

If you connect oscilloscope ground clip to one side of line , where do you probe the diac?
On a dual channel oscilloscope, connect the probes to either side of the diac and display the difference. Just ensure that the input settings are proper.

If you are sure that the Oscilloscope is Isolated AND NOT earthed, you can measure across the DIAC.

Since you are not isolated, and the oscilloscope and all its connections are "hot" it is risky. Take extreme care.

And this discussion is likely to be banned for violating the AAC guidelines.

I am using an isolation transformer and i am connecting the ground clip to one main line and the probe to the right of diac. will the o scope show waveform across diac

Maybe a .1uf capacitor rated at 200 volts in series with the oscilloscope probe. You could see the AC shape of the wave. It is supposed to switch at about 32V to 36V.

If you are not using 120 Volt power, use a capacitor rated at 400 volts.
