Hi. Currently I am involve in testing circuit boards. There are quite a few pogo pins used to connect test equipment to DUT. Sometimes the connections aren't made or "improperly" made resulting in false FAILURES. Is there a way to check for proper connections before running the test?

If the connection is not made at all you might be able to detect it during the test because then resistance from that point to another would be very high. "Improperly" made connections would be hardly detectable.

Usually you detect those when failure rate increases too much.

The pins have to be aligned 90 deg with respect to the PCB, otherwise they get damaged over time.
