Hello I am very new to all this so need basic instructions, did assemble kit projects long time back so have the tools to assemble etc.

Could you please suggest how to change circuit to make the relay stay on for a period adjustable say from 1 second to 5 seconds approx.

I need to turn it on from a small buzzer (CPT22A03-4.0-P3.5R) circuit.
Quick story on a farm have a wireless driveway sensor and base unit has above buzzer fitted only buzzers for about 0.25 of a second basic system works well just can't hear the buzzer and wish to fit a louder and longer noise maker and maybe a light etc.
Could I drive 4N33 Optocoupler to protect the base unit and then drive the adjustable timer on and relay etc?

    Welcome to AAC!

A thread belongs to the OP (original poster). Trying to take over someone elses thread is called hijacking, which is not allowed at All About Circuits. I have therefore given you a thread of your very own.

This was split from NE555 Timer with Relay (help)
