how to amplify

hai there..i need some help for my project.. im doin a project using load cell and my load cell produce mV signal.. how to amplify the signal and i wan to make it instrumentation standard signal 1-5V. please help me.

Usually a load cell is a Wheatstone bridge and requires an instrumentation amplifier.
Did you google load cell amplifier?

would an op-amp work?

cheap ones can have bias voltages of a few mV, so the output signal wouldn't be perfectly accurate, but it should still amplify it reasonably well.

to get it between 1v and 5v, you may also need to use an op-amp to 'add' it to a voltage offset (or just use a voltage divider, whatever).
